Our Superficial Peels require no recovery time, and can be done quite literally on a lunch break. While the effect is to provide you with an immediate fresher, younger appearance, Superficial Peels are usually done several times over several months to achieve the desired result. We also offer a variety of deeper chemical peels depending on your skin appearance and quality.

Combined, glycolic and Lactic acid work synergistically to exfoliate the skin while reducing irritation and dryness. Because of glycolic acid’s molecular structure, it penetrates quicker and deeper than other AHAs to perform at all levels of the skin. Lactic acid is an effective yet gentle AHA that increases moisture levels by stimulating the production of glycosaminoglycans. Salicylic acid is a lipid soluble BHA that penetrates pores to dissolve sebum and cellular debris. By accelerating the cell renewal process, stimulating collagen synthesis, and improving elastic fibers in the dermis, this light Chemical Peel revitalizes sensitive skin and helps improve the appearance of problematic skin. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxyl peel. It is self-neutralizing and has limited penetration. This peel promotes the exfoliation of the outer surface of the skin. There will be a clearing of clogged pores and exfoliation of oily areas of the face. It may also help fade superficial age spots and areas of pigmentation. The overall texture of the skin will be improved.

The Jessner peel consists of three different acids: 14% Lactic, 14% Salicylic, and 14% Resorcinol. Each plays a different role in resurfacing the skin. These three ingredients work synergistically to diminish wrinkles, lighten hyperpigmentation, control acne, and slow down the production of excess oil. The price includes an exfoliation treatment seven days following the peel application, as well as a homecare kit. You should expect mild to heavy peeling similar to that experienced following a sunburn. It is mandatory that you be patch tested for allergies at least 24-hours prior to receiving this peel.
